# Translator smart contract

This smart contract works as a transmitter in every[ network supported
by Asterizm](/what-is-asterizm/supported-chains.md). \
The Translator sends and receives encrypted data packets by communicating with [Asterizm Relayer Servers](/infrastructure/asterizm-relayer.md).
